Harvard Medical School Morgue Scandal: 4 Arrested for Stealing and Selling Body Parts

Four people have been charged with trafficking human remains stolen from Harvard Medical School for four years.

The morgue manager at the school, Cedric Lodge, allegedly stole cadaver organs and parts, which he then sold alongside his wife Denise Lodge to buyers at their New Hampshire home. Buyers would also be given access to the morgue to shop for body parts.

Charges include the conspiracy and interstate transport of stolen goods. The U.S. Attorney's office has called the case "incomprehensible," noting that many stolen remains were donated for medical research.

Harvard is considered a victim in the case and has fully cooperated with the investigation.
