Harvard Medical School Faces Lawsuit for Stealing Body Parts Intended for Research Donations

A class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of families who believe their loved ones' bodies were mishandled and mistreated by the former morgue manager of Harvard Medical School.

The suit, filed by the son of a woman who donated her body to the school, alleges negligence, breach of duty, and infliction of emotional distress. It claims that up to 400 donated cadavers could be included in the class.

The former manager, his wife, and others are facing federal criminal charges related to buying and selling stolen remains. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and a jury trial. Harvard has not yet commented on the matter.
