- Ask for feedback on how you are doing as a secretary and if they have any suggestions for improvement.
- Keep track of all communication between members, including emails, phone calls, etc., so that you can refer to them when necessary.
- Find a way to stay organized. Use Post-it notes, color coding, or whatever works best for you.
- Know your role and the organization's mission
- Serve as a liaison between members of the unit and other units.
- Send out reminders about upcoming meetings to all members in advance
- Find out what is going on in their lives outside of work
