You must order an isolation kit when a patient is placed in isolation. The following things will need to be
included in the kit.
Gowns. One or two boxes of gowns are usually placed on the kit. Most
isolations will require the caregiver or visitor to gown up before entering the
room.
Gloves. Latex Gloves, usually purple, although some facilities will
use black.
Masks. Depending on the type of isolation that the patient is in,
either a facemask or an N95 will need to be placed on the isolation kit.
Disposable Stethoscope and Blood Pressure
Cuff. A disposable
stethoscope and blood pressure cuff will be placed on the kit to decrease the
chances of spreading diseases from one patient to another.
